MSI introduced five different configurations of its latest motherboards for AMD Socket AM2 CPUs. All the MSI K9 Series are equipped with passive CPU and north bridge cooler. The MSI K9N SLI Platinum is based on NVIDIA nForce 570 SLI MCP chipset with SLI support, FireWire and 6xSATAII ports with Raid 5 support. MSI is also introducing a version with the same specifications for more price-sensitive market: MSI K9N SLI. MSI K9N SLI is not equipped with FireWire, 4xSATAII and do not support Raid 5. The MSI K9N Platinum is a NVIDIA nForce 570 MCP chipset board without SLI support. It features 8-channel High Definition Audio, 6xSATAII ports, 10xUSB 2.0 and 2xIEEE1394. The cheaper version: MSI K9N Ultra does not support FireWire and Raid 5. The MSI K9N Neo works with NVIDIA nForce 550 chipset which also can't work with Raid 5 arrays. MSI is going to extend the product line to 9 different configurations by the middle of the May.
