Hi Guys,

I am looking for the vbios of the MSI Geforce 1660 Ti Gaming 6G (not the OC version). The one I need has Core/Mem/Boost: 1500 / 1500 / 1800 Mhz.
Unfortunately, this version is not in the VGA Bios Collection.

Can someone help with this bios?

Thanks in advance.

You'll need to take pictures of the white stickers on the card for starters.

Then hang out and see what @eidairaman1 can find for you. He'll help get you all set up, he's the man!

Hi,

The reason behind is I am having a MSI GTX 1660 Ti Ventus XS 6G (non OC) and want to flash the vbios of the MSI Geforce 1660 Ti Gaming 6G (non OC) for having the semi passive mode of the fans as well as the better fan curve.

Here are the screens of the card I own:

Preferably I would like to have the fan speed at 1000 rpm (instead of 1500 rpm) in idle mode.

Since nvidia bios cannot be modified and flashing a bios with incorrect subsystem and memory can brick it i would suggest using msi afterburner to setup a custom fan profile.

OK, I have tried using afterburner, but you cannot go below the minimum fan speed of the card. Anyway, the noise is acceptable.

Thanks a lot for your efforts.

The only other solution is to have a potentiometer directly wired to the fan so you can keep the speed under control.

We can try it however i need to know what your back up plan is incase of a bios flash failure(brick)

Every gpu flash needs a backup plan, most come here in a panic mode

Of course, I agree and 20 years ago, I did gpu flash quiet often, but nowadays it has become more complicated.
In my case, flashing a vbios of a different card would be an option, but for having it even more silent than it already is.
For the moment, I will leave it as it is.

I bricked my M18 gpu in 2007.

Update:

I have flashed the vbios of the MSI Geforce 1660 Ti Gaming 6G card.
The fans now are starting at approx. 62°C and it seems to work well (max. temperature of the card 68°C).
But I have experiexed an issue with Microsoft Edge Chronium (I get a black screen) and by deactivating the driver it is back to normal. I will use DDU for uninstalling the driver and re-install it again.
Will see if this fixes the issue.

This is why it's imperitive to not flash cards.

Card makers only release bios to correct problems, if they don't then there wasn't enough of a concern to fix it.
