Thanks to fully its integrated watercooling solution, the MSI GeForce RTX 5090 Suprim Liquid SOC can achieve excellent temperatures and lower noise levels than the Founders Edition. It's also highly overclocked, delivering additional performance out of the box.

Last paragraph of the conclusion seems to be the one for the Suprim not Liquid.
Since WC seems to be the best solution for those hungry GPU I'm quite curious about your take on those.

Half a million guyana dollars lol, im sorry but nvidia and msi have lost their god damn minds especially for a gpu barely hitting 60fps at 4k in bmw. If the 5080 isn't at or above 4090 performance this generation is a bust.

Not just that. In the teardown section, the text is the same as the air Suprim and doesn't apply to the Liquid:
The main heatsink provides cooling for the memory GPU, memory chips and VRM circuitry. It uses a large vapor-chamber base with eleven heatpipes.

We got spoiled with the 4090. The 4090 suprim liquid was only $150 Premium over reference model. This is $500 Premium. Great review. Thank you!

Things are getting out of hand ... price wise ... power wise ... nvidia wise ... :D i'll keep my 4090 one more year i guess :)

And back then it was already a expensive card ... now they are ultra expensive :)

I specifically tested for this—MSI's pump will stop in idle, which means there is no pump noise at all as long as the card in fan-stop mode. In the past the constant hum of the pump was my biggest criticism for watercooling—not a problem on the MSI Suprim Liquid!
Whoa! Neat to see them implement something like that.

Generally not a very good idea, if the pump is too slow to respond the temperature can heat up the water locally to such an extent that it warps the plastics, hopefully they tested it thoroughly.

Sounds great all around. Guess we will have to see about availability but sooner or later (I'm in no rush) this shiny will be mine! :D

Louder than their air cooled variant...

Could probably just run this 5-8C warmer and have better noise levels.

Why don't review coil whine? I had to return 4 cards in a row because of coil whine. It's the most deal breaker issue when buying graphics cards, followed by fan noise

Fixed, I couldn't type fast enough as the embargo date approached, so I published with copied text

Switch to a different PSU and your coil whine will be gone or worse or appear/disappear on a different card. I'm not aware of a way to properly test it

Ugh!! I would buy this now if it was 240mm! The 4090 was only 240mm.

Oh well, gonna wait to see if others offer a 240mm version.

Good luck getting that in a case, another card built with test benches in mind? the screw holes would be completely inaccessible in my case.

Currently all are 360 mm rad unfortunately. I already got the Moctec sky gx case that fits 2x 360mm rads.

It will just be worse though, I'd find anything below a 360mm ridiculous on this 2500$ card.

40,85% faster than 4090 FE not bad
That what i was waiting for..
not 10% or 20% like some red corner brand loyalist was hoping for

I did change psu and all whining stops
Its Gpu related or Psu+Gpu related sometimes.
every gpu is unique tho.

The silent mode BIOS is the default, so that's what I tested for out of the box performance. Hiding the "Turbo Mode" behind a manual activation isn't cool

Is that air cooler for VRMs? VRAMs appear under the cold plate but VRMs don't.

They charge $500 more on a card that's already $2000, and still can't liquid cool the VRMs? The card itself so unnecessarily bulky.

The VRAM temperature isn't great either considering it's under liquid cooled copper.

It is what it is, they're shafting consumers with money who wont put a block on it themselves, of course for this money you'd expect a full coverage block but this card is a dream for AIBs, they can rip you off like crazy.
