as the title says

i noticed at some point when i finally came back to gaming
when starting a game full screen (and some times video encoding)

when on silent or BALANCED profile using dragon center, after a short while SUDDENLY the max will blow air at MAX SPEED then windows will shut down (NO BLUE SCREEN OR ANY ERRORS) does that mean something is overheating or what ?? i even noticed even at max fan speed this can sometimes happen !

i recently did liquid metal for CPU + GPU, so its not them, any idea why is that happening ? also iwndows reformatted so its not windows !

please assist...

Sounds like CPU core temp too high, where it decided that throttling wouldn't save it. This is more likely to happen on <2017 chips, even when FX, for example, is new enough to have throttling to lower the temp (AMD) and the same with Intel, especially Haswell or older Core i, they are more likely to go right to a literal shutdown, when core temp at critical level.

A classic sign is a shutdown when running 2-pass x.264! On newer chips, especially >2016, they are more likely to drop the clock a lot, but could still get high to the point where it literally shuts down.

Do you have a desktop or a laptop? If a laptop, you need air flowing under it!
