Hi,

I just received a MSI ventus 2080 ti which seems not able to send signal to the monitor.

I did run the GPU-Z utility and found something weird about the bios numeration which seems more similar to a 1080ti GPU:

So I tried to flash a new bios took from https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/?did=10DE-1E04-1462-3711 but I receive the following error:

What is also weird is that the 2080Ti is flagged as "graphic device"

Any suggestion on how to proceed?

The card is not sending any signal to the monitor, so is recognized by Windows but not really working..

Still not able to flash that bios, I receive the Falcon reset control is disallowed! (PLM=0x000000EF) error

It is a 1080Ti, just check the memory, GDDR5X is only on the 1080Ti and on the Titan X Pascal.

Thanks! but the code on the GPU die refer to a 2080 TI, how can be possible?

The Bios I linked previously shows the same device I.D. but has GDDR6 Vram.

Something's is fishy at least, or they put a 1080Ti VBIOS in that 2080Ti somehow, or is a 1080Ti with a VBIOS edited to show like a 2080Ti (but the hardware part is suspicious).

The memory speed is expect from a GDDR5X also, not a GDDR6; in games and benchs, does your 2080Ti performs as it should?
