My pc not using full RAM capacity

Hello
So today i noticed on my Task manager that my pc only uses 8gb meanwhile i have 16gb installed
last time i checked was last mounth and it was using 16/16 but today its 8/16
how to fix this plz

check your ram/ram slot try clean the contact area then plug it back
if it not read could be from your ram slot or you have dead ram there

Most likely if ram would be dead it wouldn't be recognized at all and pc wouldn't boot up giving post codes by sound or display, accordingly.

@OP, unplug one stick and check if pc boots, then replace stick with other one and check again.

yeah, but some cases the pc runs, the only way to check it through cpuz or plug it one by one

Are they in correct slots ? ... check MoBo manual
Do they appear in BIOS or CPU_Z ?

It appears that half of the RAM is not available. Has it been assigned to the iGPU?

There's no iGPU on 2600.

1 Open Start and type "msconfig" and pres Enter.
2 On top, click on "Boot" → "Advanced Options" and look for "Maximum Memory"
Make sure the box is unchecked.

Yes that's it idk why everyone pointed the gun on hardware immediately , i know it might be the RAM slots or something but why not starting from the easy stuff first?

So i removed both stickes of ram and replugged them and now its works fine thanks guys

One time I removed half my CPU cores with something that stuck to msconfig so I always check there for problems like this
