I have 2x8 gb ddr4 advertised speed 3600mhz and the model is ADATA XPG SPECTRIX D50, and the motherboard is an asus prime b550m-a.
So basicly when i went to the bios and wanted to turn xmp or docp on profile 2 for 3600mhz and when I aplied it and exit the pc reboots 2 times and after that it gives me an error code
and I can run the memory only at 2666mhz

Is this a new purchase? If so, return the ram for a replacement.

I was using Adata Gammix 3200 16-20-20-something and they are absolute shite. I had to break apart my B-Die setup in my main rig, booo.

I don't even know if I want to bother with RMA.

Is your RAM installed in the correct slots? Sometimes XMP wont work unless the RAM is installed correctly.

I have come across some who just install the RAM in the first two slots on the board a few times and have had XMP issues.

Boot into windows install Zentimings and post a screenshot.

Most RAM will run XMP at 1.35V. Increasing it to 1.4V is generally safe and may help to get it to boot.

So was this memory actually on the motherboard memory QVL?

If no, check the memory QVL before you buy any new memory.

You can check it here:

When the memory isn't on the memory QVL it is not guaranteed it will run at it's rated speed.

Personally I always buy memory that's on the QVL so I know it has been tested to run at it's rated speed.

Updating the BIOS to the newest may solve this. Ryzen 3600 + single-rank 3600 (2x8) should have no problems booting.

Have you tried A2/B2 dimms and XMP/DOCP on? Those are the right dimm slots.

When you manage to boot into windows (no matter XMP on) get Thaiphoon burner and read the specs of each stick.
Post screenshots here.

Click the "Read" (big) button on top and take screenshot of both sticks.

1663144804615.png

Some times, yes if manual settings are applied with slight changes from XMP/DOCP profile, DRAM can boot successfully on advanced speeds.
But first we need to see what kinds these sticks are and if they are identical.
Although even if we see same specs there is a possibility that the 2 sticks are not 100% the same on aspects not shown on Thaiphoon.
Some times DRAM vendors are mixing chips on the same sticks which complicates things even more.

But you/we can give it a shot.

There is no point of seeing ZenTimings now without the ability to run XMP. On Jedec specs (2666MHz) voltages of all system components related to DRAM will be completely different anyway.

Who can locate differences between the 2 screenshots?

Manufacturing Location and Date
Frequency (1600MHz on bottom)

BTW some times Thaiphoon is reading wrong. So try to re-read them a few times and see if those 3 sections I mentioned are the same

And for the record my previous R5 3600 could run a 3466MHz kit at XMP without any effort and at 3667MHz (same kit) with some tweaking

Add some SOC voltage. My Ryzen 3600 needed over 1.2v to stabilize 3833MT/s with 4x8GB Hynix DJR

Needs 1.35v....

Look at the profile while in the bios spd. Take note the xmp timings. Compare to the timings menu all those set auto are correct to the xmp profile. Manually set these up if incorrect.

Then manually set the Cas latency to 20-22-22-22 1.35v and see if it will post higher than 3000mhz. Just select the next available speed. If it posts, test it. Wash rinse repeat.

Begin with DOCP Profile 1. Go to the DRAM Timings menu and adjust all timings to Auto, and see if that will POST

Check the voltage the RAM is being run at. My XMP kits I have barfed over and over with stock XMP settings, until I manually set the voltage to the listed voltage, and after setting the voltage, it works perfectly.
a quick google check shows that product should be 1.35v I'd try that.

i wouldn't recommend using xmp on 3xxx series and up, usually voltages are way more than needed.

set it manually to 1.35, reboot, THEN change speed/main timings manually as well.

It's really still hit or miss with the AM4 platform. I've tested so many boards, RAM, and CPUs and they all act differently by varying configuration.

Of the six AM4 rigs I still have crunching away, I don't think a single one works with just clicking X.M.P. and hoping for a POST and stability.

But, if you have the time to manually tune your settings, you can generally find some sort of setting that works well.

This week I was fussing with a 2x8GB kit of Patriot Viper 4400CL19 B-die. I got the kit to play around with on my Cenzannes. What an abomination! Won't post on the #1 or #2 X.M.P. settings, no matter how I configured or jammed voltage. The lesser X.M.P. tables worked but performed much worse than the dirt cheap Micron E I already had in there. I put the 4x8GB Ballistix 3600CL16 back in there and they are more than happy to run stable at 4266CL16 1T GDM off. I put the Vipers on an older AM4 rig with one of my better Ryzen1600AFs and they did tune to 3466CL14 but not a MT/s more than that.

Don't even get me started on the hoops I jumped through for my wife because she had to have 4x16GB on her X570, and it's those expensive RoyalZ with all the LED glitter effects
