Hello!
First of all my English isn´t very good, so I am sorry if something is not really understandable.

So, I got a HIS IceQ X HD6950 2GB Turbo from a friend for free because it has a wrong bios and only displays a black screen. So I searched for a bios for this GPU and was not able to find one. Does anybody have a dump of the bios for the HIS IceQ X HD6950 2GB Turbo and would be so kind to send it to me?

Thanks in Advance

You need to post pics of the white stickers on the back of the card and confirm the vram maker, if you can't get it to display you will need to remove the cooler to physically inspect the vram chips

Edit : seems that isn't needed in this case

Does it have a bios switch?

I had a MSI 6950 that i flashed to a 6970 but it had a bios switch.

Thanks for the very quick answers! I have one last question: Where is the Bios Chip on my GPU? Because it does not POST and I don't have integrated graphics...

There are no hi-resolution photos of your card on the Internet.

That's a wild guess without clear photo of the chips with visible text.

Well, when the front cover and fan ist removed there are two other chips visible that look like a bios chip. I send a Picture of the Chip on the back with more details visible und these other two chips I mentioned before, I hope it helps.

Still cannot read the text on that chip. Please type it here.

There is too much thermal paste mess on the GPU. Clean it with alcohol and cotton swabs, then reapply thermal paste.

the 1. Chip(Backside) says: uP7701U8 AXP0CD. The 2. chip(under cover bottom left) says: A25L0100 -f 1036 VX M22170. The 3. Chip says: up6101bu8.

A25L0100 is the most likely the BIOS chip and the one needs to be shorten. Don't do it with heatsink off. Find a way to shorten it while the cooler on.

The chip you circled looks like the only possibility on the back of that card. :toast:

Not this time ;)

I was able to fix my GPU! Thanks to anyone who helped me fix it! :)

There was no doubt about that. Recovery from a wrong BIOS flash isn't a big deal.

Don't know why HIS put the BIOS on the front side. Makes no sense.
