Hi,
I have Gigabyte
Geforce GTX 1050 TI G1 4G card. On the last day, I tried to update the VBIOS of that card using nvflash tool ( I use this tutorial).
After the update VBIOS, the display is not coming. But the VGA turned on (lights on and fan spinning).
so how can we reflash my vga?
im using AMD ryzen 5 proccesor and MSI A520M PRO motherboard. there isn't onboard VGA option and not loading Bios (
that is the reason I
update vbios as per MSI instruction
)
can you give me a good guide for recovering this VGA

thanks for your reply. but the problem is my VGA is not coming display (black screen). AMD pc does not have onboard graphics.

can i recover it if I have onboard vga or a separate PCI EX display? Can I plug the working PCI card and above brick 1050TI card together and flashing it?

Plug cables straight into your card, make sure monitor is set to correct port too

Use your friends monitor

Did you make a backup before flashing? Maybe you can post it to see which VBIOS version as Gigabyte only seems to list F3 and a few of those in the database are above F9. Also can use to recover. Can use a second card at the same time and select the 1050 Ti with --list and -i options. No need to flash the whole VBIOS for DP correction, just need to update the UEFI Driver (GOP).

To enable the latest DisplayPort 1.3 / 1.4 features, your graphics card may require a firmware update.

Without the update, systems that are connected to a DisplayPort 1.3 / 1.4 monitor could experience blank screens on boot until the OS loads, or could experience a hang on boot.

The NVIDIA Firmware Updater will detect whether the firmware update is needed, and if needed, will give the user the option to update it.

If you are currently experiencing a blank screen or hang on boot with a DP 1.3 or 1.4 monitor, please try one of the following workarounds in order to run the tool:

  • Boot using DVI or HDMI
  • Boot using a different monitor
  • Change boot mode from UEFI to Legacy; or Legacy to UEFI.
  • Boot using an alternate graphics source (secondary or integrated graphics card)
A quick look shows Maxwell, Maxwell 2 and Pascal updates present.
