Hello. I have an hp Touchsmart 15-j099ef, i have 16 gb of ram, an nvidia Gt740m and an i7-4700mq. My problem is that when i play any game my temps reach 100 degrees everytime. I used throttle stop to undervolt it but still the same results, i figured out that disabling turbo fixed my temps a lot but at the same time reduced my performances. I was wondering if there was any way to push my cpu to at least 3 GHz without worrying about temps.

Quite an oldie your laptop, it may be full of dust on the inside, clean out the dust bunnies of the airvents first and check again.
If that doesn't help , try to repaste the CPU and the GPU.

I had the same Processor in a HP laptop and they were notorious for getting hot, cleaning and new paste did nothing.

So you're saying it's throttling from the factory when running a game?....

Mine had an aluminium palm rest that got very hot to touch, almost unbearable.

If your not going to improve the cooling then you could adjust the throttling temperature by up to 15C, so throttles at 85C instead of 100C.
