.net framework 1.0 sp3 problems

Like the title says, I can't get this to install on Windows XP Media Center 2005. It's the only update left, and everything I've tried hasn't resulted in a fix. I've tried dial-a-fix, a support page from MS telling me to uninstall all .netframework stuff, use the installer cleaner, and try again, and a fresh Wipe and Reload of Windows, but still the same thing. Has anyone heard of this before?

if you really don't need it, you don't have to download it!
I've Media 2002, .net packs compact Frame 1 SP3 + 2
Frame 1.1 + 1.1 hotfix, 2 SP2, 3 SP2, and 3.5 SP1
all working fine ...
unfortunately those download programs have to be installed in a certain order
along with other programs, its one big mess, so I wouldn't worry so much.

don't uninstall net pack, unless you're really sure, unfortunately ms have make a
pig out of it, and it can be messy.

If you must install, please could we have more info
like all the other packages, your error message, and so on...

Other packages, well the ones Iam interested in is "Redistributable" "Server" and "MS Visual" programs!

It says the install failed. That's it. I'm reinstalling Windows on this for a client, so I'd like it to be fully updated when I give it back to them tomorrow.
