I just got a new(used) amp, A pretty good Cambridge audio Azur 651A, which has a USB input. The USB uses a texas PCM2704 DAC chip. I did try it and it does sound nice. The question is, which config.
USB straight from PC to the USB in then speakers connected.
USB from PC to my Topping D10s then analogue out from the topping to the analogue in on the 651A
I know they might be pretty close, but first option will be simpler but i guess it depends how good the PCM3704 is.
The amp i am using now, sounds ok to me but it is not going to be anywhere near as good as the Cambridge amp.
