as in no power to the mobo, no lights or fans?

make sure the mobo and CPU power cables are fully in on both ends and you are using the CPU power and not a PCIe 6+2 cable
make sure the case power switch is properly connected to the mobo

Is your power strip/ups,and power supply power switch turned on on?

Have you connected the power switch from the case to the motherboard correctly- that means reading your motherboard manual. Maybe swap to reset switch for troubleshooting.

Have you ensured all atx power connectors are hooked up per your motherboard manual?

You might need to consider bench running you stuff out of the case and have your motherboard elevated so you can run the gpu correctly.

Make sure the cpu pin 1gold arrow is lined up with lga pin 1 on motherboard.

Please see this

I can't say for you but here's what has prevented my builds from powering on:

Case power button lines into USB header pins
Case power button lines into HDD LED pins
PSU switch still clicked off
Power strip off
PSU not plugged into power strip

Honorable mention:

GPU 8-pin power not plugged in (many many times, lol). PC will power up this way but you get no video out.

I could add a sticker isolating the CMOS battery to this list.

Thanks for your replies.
I looked at how to bench test but did a short with a screwdriver in situ and it powered on.
After a bit of fiddling with the power switch at both ends it has fired up.
Thank you.
