I'm not a fan of it personally, doesn't look comfortable. Glad I got my 8bit Pro hall effect stick controller when I did on sale. I'm not sure why people are obsessed with a controller having gyro, I only used it once in my entire life, its cool sure, but i just see no need for it personally.

edit:

this is my new controller, just came out last month, has hall effect sticks, and is super comfortable. official xbox licensed by dualshock layout, so its plug and play yet i get the comfort level i want. i added on some grip itz to the thumbsticks and its now my all time favorite controller tied for dualshock 4.

The price seems okay, but yeah, with the current wave of inexpensive HE stick equipped controllers it seems meh. Very meh. Not sure what exactly is the purpose of sensors on sticks would be. Guess as a pseudo touchpad? Might be interesting.
One thing to note is that Horis quality has been questionable for several years now, so that’s something to think about.

8bitdo quality on the other hand has been a top notch experience on my end, and they feel quality too.

im going to pre-order this just to have as a backup, only 30 bucks and has hall effect sticks and hall effect bumper buttons

20 bucks cheaper and better quality. also it can do bluetooth gaming, don't have to use the dongle if you don't want.

After Fight Commander, not the newest. I even have the Hori Edge 301 (got it cheap at 15, but now sold 50) rare PxX like that's good but Windows calibrator alwys shows it trembling sticks.

After I pointed this out to you yesterday. I noticed L4/R4 position. Rather odd to say the least. At least they changed their front and product pages to make this image highly visible. It was buried 15 images and three page loads deep.

After going OT in another thread yesterday I pulled out my PS layout Logitech F310 (to lube the joysticks and commence a test). I've always hated the XBOX shape and layout so it was a $1 surprise when XBOX 360 controller worked decently (until it started disconnecting constantly recently). A decade on it was shocking how much higher quality it was in ways that make me doubtful of aftermarket offerings.

Most games are very well developed to allow complex moves with PS layout. I found one or two that worked better on keyboard or controller with ring finger buttons (Move<I/O Function<Use Function) XBOX layout sort of works better for. Inability to reach over right stick and use D-pad at the same time when I needed to was getting stressful. Height of the stick created interference the opposite layout removes.

Somehow this Steam controller meshes the worst of both. Awful ergonomics and too many buttons placed where too few fingers can operate them in real time.

I like the position of the L4 and R4 on that personally. and yeah thanks for recommending it. im still not sure if i want the 20 dollar or 30 dollar version, i don't mind using a wire when a game and prefer the lighter weight, also 20 bucks for some hall effect sticks on a decent controller is one hell of a price

haven't decided yet, but yeah i am getting one

How?

Tough for me to imagine how those are broadly usable in a fast paced gaming environment. Almost no separation and heightened probability of tapping either trigger around it.

It depends on the fingers thickness
