As the title says i have purchased a new SSD last November and have not installed it in the system yet cause at that time i was still awaiting for my other system parts to arrive. after getting my GPU and while waiting for my ram and motherboard to arrive i started playing skyrim and well today i finally got down to build my new pc now that i have all the parts. I started by registering all m products and that including my SSD's.

I purchased 2 Samsung SSD's (850 EVO 250 and 500 GB) from amazon, so today when i registered them in the samsung site it said my product is out of warranty? WTF?

I am at loss here and have no idea what to do. I did a rudimentary check previously when i first got my SSD's (plugged them in and checked their status and generally see if they are working) and they were working fine.

What do i do now ? what should i expect ? what is my situation ? the product was Amazon fulfilled so i trusted it to be good. now it says its out of warranty ? Am freaking out as its happening to both of my SSD's

Something is up with the warranty site. See below, where it lists the dates you entered followed by "months?" That should be a number indicating your warranty remaining, not a date.

Contact Samsung. There is no way those drives are out of warranty.

It'll likely be slow, and I can't GUARANTEE that the drives aren't like, stolen out of a PC and reboxed or something bizzare. But I find that pretty unlikely, I think you'll end up being fine. Don't lose sleep over it, especially considering the 850 Series are some of the most reliable Samsungs around. ;)

Try to get a refund from Amazon as they sold you a dud. Was it from an Amazon marketplace seller, or Amazon themselves? If marketplace, then you have a much higher chance of something like this happening.
