Non Adobe alternatives

Im thinking of create some content in the future for my side job... im just wondering what are some adobe alternatives...
because they are scummy and i dont want to be paying a fortune..

i'm not looking for anything pro level, just something good enough to get me started

You may want to specify which kind of content.

GNU image manipulation program, or GIMP, is more or less programmed as a basic Photoshop replacement. It works for its purpose.

Krita should work if you are interested in digital art.

DxO Photolab did fine by me for photography raw processing and photo fix. While it's not cheap, it's also not an abusive subscription.

No idea about video editing myself. I've never done much of it.

if you are familiar with photoshop, you may try photopea, basic version of PS and run through web browser. for editing video you may try capcut, basically free except some elements you need to pay
