Greetings!
I need your help because for some reason the game doesn't want to be smooth, I changed everything from my computer, put in a processor, motherboard, video card, ssd, changed rams, changed monitors.
For some reason There used to be one https://www.backoffice.be/prod_uk/P...illiance_109p20_display_crt_19_dquote_192.asp
with this, the game was very smooth until this monitor died, after that it was a TV monitor, but because of the input lag I had to change a Acer GN246HLBbid UM.FG6EE.B06 144hz monitor, and I thought the game would be smooth, and it really could be smoother, somehow I felt as if it was even smoother, then about 1 hour passed and I played and the game was no longer smooth at that time it was still the old hardware config, then it was a period when (maybe I took the power out and plugged it in again, I don't know anymore, but then the game was very smooth again.
Then, since it didn't get any better, I thought I'd switch to a bigger 165 Hz monitor.here, too, I felt as if the game was more smooth, and then it went away as if there had been a delay.
That's why I decided to change the config and see if it would be good, but there was no change. at that time I also changed the mouse (logitech pro x superlight) , it was also faster at the beginning, then not anymore.
So I switched to a 240hz monitor, but unfortunately I experienced this there as well, and I bought a 360hz monitor a few weeks ago, thinking it should be good here, but it's as if I have input lag.

I would like to ask for your help! thank you!

when it was once, it should be like this

And one more note, for some reason, if I use it only with the video card integrated in the processor, it is much smoother, but not 100%

Hi, a couple of questions:
1. Are you using a DP cable or HDMI?
2. Are you sure you have GSync Enabled?
3. How much FPS are you getting with the 1660s?
4. Which settings do you use on CSGO?

Higher Hz does not mean smoother. It means there is much more time for variance which means LESS smooth.

Smooth = consistent.
You had 60hz and could probably play CS at 60 FPS. Also it was a CRT, so the way frames are delivered is also different from LCD.
Typically LCD can use higher refresh rates to get better frame reproduction, but its not smoother unless you can hit that framerate all the time. You cant get that on your PC with a 240hz or faster monitor.

Lock the FPS to 60 and see what happens.

to be smooth gpu and cpu have to work together, if one has to wait for the other you get un-smoothness, you have to see where is the bootleneck, cap the so neither has to wait for the other. Use afterburner and try to get a smooth frametime line

Do you have some numbers to back that up? I mean, FPS, frequencies, voltages...

In many cases "not smooth" is just perceived/placebo. If that isn't the case, having some numbers over time can help pinpoint the problem. Not-smoothness can be caused by a number of factors, including streaming assets, reaching some power limits, power saving configurations being some of them.

Because my hardware is always changing.. and this is another step forward maybe help
Have you gone back and closed the others?

No its the same game running at 60 frames per second. Its not slower - you had the same latency on your CRT.
You could try running your monitor at 60hz native refresh rate as well.

Perception is a weird thing. Take your time to get used to a setup!

The problem is cs players play with no fps cap, so you are running on the edge of failure/problems.

Set an fps cap in driver and or rivatuner and see how game runs.

My first thought after seeing this pattern of upgrades is that this is a psycological issue.

If that's not the case, then it seems like a misconfiguration because the hardware seems adequate.

It looks like a good solid monitor for competitive gaming.
OP didn't give much info, other than "bought a bunch of upgrades / still not happy".
Maybe settings in the game or driver are "sub optimal".
Are you using v-sync or fast sync? If you're super sensitive to input lag turn it off.
Low latency mode(0 pre rendered frames) can make uneven framerate.
Is this a gaming PC or a file server??? Lose the mechanical drives already.

I'd try over at blurbusters where they have an active thread about this monitor, and you could ask other people with the same monitor that play CSGO what their experience is.

Good luck :)

Which is why I've asked him if he has numbers to back up his claim. Until he shows numbers, I'm going to assume the problem is imagined or he's just trolling.

I just enable V-sync and call it a day. Tbh, from what I saw in the video, its a lot better than what I get in World of Tanks if I try to run it with V-sync disabled, and I have a 24-core Threadripper system with RTX 3090 + ROG Strix XG279 170Hz G-sync monitor. While I can run the game at 100-144 fps, its not smooth so I don't even bother with it. Also have to keep in mind that some games will still run a little quirky regardless of the hardware & settings used. I use the studio drivers for the 3090 since I run it together with an RTX A6000 for rendering so that may or may not contribute to the issue with gaming at higher refresh rates.

this is not this is a psycological issue because ryzen 5 5600g processor garapics card on and nvidia videocard off and smoother processor video card run.
