NVCleanstall 1.10 - some questions about NVDisplay.Container and other settings

I've cleaned up the latest driver v472.12 for Win7 with NVCleanstall 1.10 and all went well, compared to the previous version (which was a bit crash-prone).

I have still some questions\comments after the installation tho:
  • is there a config\service\task that can be set to stop NVDisplay.Container.exe from connecting to internet?
  • with Process Explorer I can see under NVDisplay.Container.exe that the "User Experience Driver Components" are loaded ( nvui.dll, nvxdapix.dll, nvxdbat.dll, nvxdplcy.dll, nvxdsyncplugin.dll). Are these still active..?
  • the selected MSI setting for the GPU was ignored. Or worse, I previously set it manually to High and the installation reset it to Undefined. Maybe this should be fixed

I think the only option is Windows Firewall, not sure

Yes

the selected MSI setting for the GPU was ignored. Or worse, I previously set it manually to High and the installation reset it to Undefined. Maybe this should be fixed
What value did you find in the registry after installation?

Woa, only firewall.
So that telemetry cannot be blocked even by NVCleanstall?
I'd remove the Container to disable the spyware, but it's required for the Nvidia Control Panel, right?

For MSI I didn't check the registry, I only used the MSImode utility by guru3d.

Correct

hmm, I looked at the code and I set MSISupported = 1, MSIPolicy and MSIPriority to the value you selected. Maybe that utility is bugged?

That's a bit annoying, but I guess we can't do anything about it..

About the interrupts, the value sticked when I changed it with the MSImode utility.
I searched the registry and I found this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\PCI\[VENCODE]\[DEVCODE]\Device Parameters\Interrupt Management\MessageSignaledInterruptProperties

Btw my regedit can only be opened in admin mode, so maybe that interfered with such extra setting?
I wonder what else didn't work tho..

That is the correct key. Can you try installing the driver using NVCleanstall again and see what value gets put there?

admin mode
NVCleanstall runs in admin mode, so no problem there

Mm.. I think I'll stop here.
I don't want to mess my system, since all seems to have worked smoothly in the end.
Thanks for the replies.

You can use a 3rd party app to do this. Tinywall is a stand alone firewall app that I use.
