I plan to purchase one of these 5 graphics cards :
- NVIDIA Asus GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER TUF O16G GAMING
- NVIDIA MSI GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER GAMING X SLIM
- NVIDIA Asus GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER ROG STRIX O16G GAMING
- AMD XFX Speedster MERC310 Radeon RX 7900XT
- AMD Sapphire Radeon RX 7900 XT NITRO+ OC Vapor-X

It's not easy, we see so many heated debates on the forum. Team Green or Red. I think both are good mid-range products based on the performance of this 2022-2024 generation.

MSIGamingSlim4070TiSuper.jpg
AsusRog4070TiSuper.jpg
XFX 7900XT.jpg
SapphireNitro7900XT.jpg

I play at 1440p on Ace Combat 7, Armored Core 6, Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts Legacy, Starfield, Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader.

NVIDIA 4070 Ti Super : ?
AMD XFX 7900XT : €850
AMD Sapphire Nitro+ 7900 XT : €900
AMD XFX 7900XTX : 1050€
AMD Sapphire Nitro+ 7900 XTX : 1200€
Nvidia 4080 : 1250-1450€

I’m gonna wait <10 days / 2 weeks> until prices calm down a little if possible and retailers gets their supply.

Otherwise my plan is to upgrade my configuration in mid 2025 with a new MB, CPU, 4K OLED screen and GPU. This is why I see less point in breaking the bank for a 4080/Super or 7900XTX right now.

I'm curious about your preference on TPU.

My sapphire 7900 XTX was faulty, I had to send it back to the Amazon warehouse. And before that an RTX2070Super.
So at the moment it’s only my integrated graphics

1. You mixed up the AMD Cards. In the vote there are 7900xt. At the prices there are 7900XTX. ;)

2. Aside that Fanby behavior. I stand at the point to buy a new graphics card either. I took the 4080 Super, the 4070 TI Super the 7800XT and also the 7900XT into my selection. But i also plan to install a watercooling block. I'm notz gaming. I need that GPU to have 2 UWQHD Mnitors driven at (let's say) 100-165 Hz driven. For me (and only for me) i don't see any reason to pay a lot more to own a NVidia GPU which doesn't provide more power to my tasks.

I posted the French prices (VAT 20%) to give an idea of the situation in EU for our USA friends and oversea.

Oh lol, we're going into another 5 page topic about the same subject now, to what end? Are we expecting anything new here?

@OP the choices aren't going to expand if you make several topics on it y'know. The choice is yours in the end. Not ours.

As for narrowing down which AIB card to pick... you can only really do that if you know pricing...

What about a 7900xt?
Depends on the price in your country of course but here the Sapphire Pulse can be had for around 800€
(if you dont mind how it looks too much ^^)

Reviews should be out today for Asus Rog and MSI Slim. Many peoples are in the same boat with upgrading their GPU in the coming month.
(If my other thread was not locked because of unnecessary Red/Green rivality it would have been nice)

I posted the French prices (VAT 20%) to give an idea of the situation in EU for our USA friends and oversea.
Nevertheless you talked about the "msaller" 7900XT and then enlisted the prices for the bigger 7900XTX. The prices of the bigger XTX are higher. No matter in which local market. ;)

what are you talking about?
I look at my needs and the technical facts. And i select that cards that suits best. No matter of the marque. Most here at TPU do it different. They prefer NVidia or AMD.

Same, but I didn't detect that in op's post, not sure if I have a crossed wire here.
