CyberPowerPC just called me... saying I need to chose either a new mobo (Asus P5N32 delux) ... or a new Grafix card (Nvidea 7950 GX2) ...
because the Fan on the Card is too wide to fit into the 16x slot (blocking the Power connector)???

Has anybody ever heard that, or of probs of that sort??
Cant believe Asus would design that board for NVidea if the friggen card dont fit...

Any comments??
Thanks

looks like it to me.

tell them that is the config u want as u only need the plug if you are running sli.

see the heatsink? that is what is blocking the molex. you should be able to find a 90degree adapter for it if it is required.

yea looks like it does block the power connector.

but a 7900GTX would block it as well?

ask them about a 7900GTX...if they tell you the same...then you know for sure.

cheers

thanks guys for your info...

I resolved the problem... there are 2 types of ASUS P5N32 SLI DELUXE BOARDS...

Issue 1 (older) and Issue B (newer Board) The spacing on the newer board is adequate for the 7950 GX2 cards (all models)

The card that is just an Idea wider than the XFX or BFG type is the eVGA card. This card is about an 1/8 " wider than the others, which caused that slight problem. Asus took care of it and advised my builder (CyberPowerPC) which board to use.

And my completed System shipped today :toast:

I will most likely get it on Tuesday w/2 day shipping. Then I will add my 2nd 7950 card and hook up via SLI...

Hope I can learn all about the Fine tuning of the Board.

Hey guys thanks for the advice. :respect:
