As much as AMD are awesome, back when the HD 4000 series and below were around, drivers were always finnicky and Nvidia Geforce was the way to go.

I noted that Medal of Honor Pacific Assault would never load up when running on my HD 4850 yet all other games i have worked fine. So i set out and bought an Nvidia GPU, i was unlucky on my first try with a GTS 450 as it arrived with corroded components on the back of the PCB.
The GTX 650 Ti arrives and all is well.

Try to load up Medal of Honor Pacific Assault, works first time.

I am not saying that Radeon is bad for this era, it is not, however with a lack of good drivers with well rounded support on top of the Nvidia fiasco around those times, games simply do work better on Nvidia Geforce over ATi / AMD Radeon.

This was on the setup in my signature if anyone is interested.

Windows XP SP3
