As I run Turing based Quadro RTX 4000, which gets heated up to 85°C, so I decided to do the modding of the heatsink in it. Reason why it gets heated up, as it is one of the most power hungry Quadro x4000 card on the market with 1x8pin connector & pulling 160W from the system!
Did some research, people have been doing it - but on other cards. Essentially, as that RTX 4000 should be the same as 2070, so I was thinking of getting something like this for ~40€:
& yes, I am aware that there might be some cutting of that case in order to fit to RTX4000...as well as some tape gluing the creavases in order to keep a fluid (air) not leaking into case.
Also, to get familiar with the RXT 4000, a teardown from Igor's lab was used: https://www.igorslab.de/en/nvidia-q...i-abger-with-surprise-performance-igorslab/2/
Does anybody have any experience with it?
Or do you suggest to sell the card & get something better for my Workstation? (as investment is around ~50€ + my work)
