Hey all!
I'm looking for help on a fan speed issue with my new second-hard RTX 3080 from HP.
It works very well, but I have an issue where the card's fan speed up considerably, hitting 3500 rpm (the max, I think), from time to time, when playing a game. Sometimes only one fan speeds up, and sometimes both fans speed up.
I have set up a fan curve for it (and my cpu/case fans) using Fan Control, which is always running.
The card never goes over 70° on that chart, and the fan speed is following the chart 99% of the time
But about once every 20 minutes, the fan speed-up bypasses the fan curve and goes to max for 15-60 secondes, and then goes down to normal speed, for no apparent temperature-related reasons.
Is there a way to troubleshoot this card's problem? I have no idea what would be causing a fan speed-up randomly like that!
I also haven't managed to activate a fan-freeze at low temperature (a feature that I think all cards of this range have), and haven't been able to tune fans to lower than 30%, but I think that is on purpose from the card's manufacturer.
Thanks in advance for the help or insights on why this it would behave like that!!
