Hello,
I can't save my ACER V3-772G GDDR5 Rev:2 (GPU GTX760M N15P...) laptop, it starts up by itself with the fan at 100% and i have no display.
I tried a reflow of the GPU and the INTEL chipset, then flashing the two BIOS chips, it restarted like a normal update then it's the same again.
I also flashed the EC BIOS with a modified Mavericks BIOS which i have not remodified, if i understood correctly it is to disable the GPU, but the laptop did not restart automatically, it was like the current problem

Before the completely black screen,
i remember that i had freezes on Windows and sometimes a black screen with a small multi-colored square in the center.

The RAM module is already tested on another laptop but not the i7 CPU.
On the Powergood pin of the SIO i get 3V.

Given the used price of this laptop, I would still like to repair it :)

Someone on the web told me that it could be an S0 required problem, but what does that mean? what should i check?

IMO there are three things you can do here....

1. Dismantle it completely and bake the motherboard in the oven (you want to reflow the solder joints) - tonnes of guides available on youtube for this search for 'baking motherboard' or 'baking graphics card'

2. Replace the motherboard with one from Aliexpress or ebay.

3. throw it in the bin and buy a new laptop.

The underlying problem is that the graphics card is soldered into the motherboard so there is no easy option of just replacing the graphics card with a pre-owned one off ebay or aliexpress etc etc.

You can make it work but but its going to be TIME, EFFORT and MONEY on your part. There is no easy solution. Save yourself the trouble and dont waste your time fixing it.

Yes, for many it's not interesting to repair given the age of the laptop, but to practice repairing, I'm ready to do a reballing on GPU if you think the CPU is not dead

 A right thing for the planet...

I dont think its the CPU, It will definitely be the GPU that is faulty. Either the chip itself or the memory surrounding it. Those memory chips can also be found of aliexpress as well if you really want to waste money on it.

Ok, what DOS program allows you to properly test VRAM?

Regarding the S0 state, everything must be OFF? OFF=0V?

 i don't know if there are any test points on the VA70HW GDDR5 Rev:2 motherboard.
