So been looking at speakers again.

Seems like 2 main options
1 - Powered (active) Speakers (pretty straight forward)
or
2 - Passive speakers + amp or receiver or other etc.

So the second is a bit beyond me for "PC" setup as in the options seem to be overwhelming in choice and selection.

I've read where someone used a "WiiM ultra music streamer" and others a basic amp, and some a receiver others a dac/amp, etc.

I'd rather not have something big and clunky on my desk, wouldn't need much power, I don't see myself getting more than 100W speakers.

So I'm wondering what would be a good/nice option between the PC and the speakers that's not big and clunky with an upper price range of $500cad ($350usd)??
