Hello, lot of you probably heard for Fortnite. So, everything was ok for couple of months, and now my PC restarts at start of the game. (When jumping out of a bus).

I found what setting is causing it, but I would love to fix it and know what's happening.

When I put that Shadows setting to high my PC restarts, when it's on medium everything is fine.

Any idea what's causing it? PSU or GPU, or RAM...? Or something else...?

Here are my pc spec:

Intel I5 3470 3.20GHz
Amd Radeon 7850 1Gb
8Gb RAM 1600Mhz
MSI B75MA-E33

I had simillar problem with Football Manager game too. Here is the link:

That may just be that the game does not like system memory swapping from your GDDR once it needs more than the 1GB you have, try turning off motion blur and taking the shadows back up to high and see if it works OK then.

Ok, thanks, will try that. I'm thinking it's either GPU or PSU.

If you want to test your PSU, try a GPU benchmarking program or stability tester (I know of OCCT and AIDA), but I agree with the previous response. It sounds like the game doesn't like running out of memory. You might try to update the drivers to see if it is a known bug that has been fixed.

What error code/message does it give? It sounds like it might be a VRam issue, the 7850's are getting a little long in the tooth now and the Vram is usually the first thing to go.

Make sure automatic restarts are disabled.
Write down each bsod you get and post it here. That could point to a software or hardware failure

I'd turn textures down if you want to keep that card, or else buy something better.

That's pants. A rogue application shouldn't be able to reset Windows like that. Whatever happened to all the memory protection and security features of Windows lol?

that error is normally a harddrive issue. I think the TOSHIBA 1TB 32MB 7k SATA600 is the issue or its cable....
i would start with a
Perform a chkdsk scan.
The RAM is my second guess and i would run the ram threw some tests as well. Good luck.

Thanks, but tested everything few months ago, even bought and installed system at SSD, still the same. Ram test was ok too. So it's not HDD for sure. Maybe Motherboard, im really running out of ideas.
