What drive you're using? It's been a while since I've used Win2K, I can't remember that does it handle big modern drives.

btw, 2000 with SP4 is the best Windows ever. <3

Boot XP/03 era WinPE if you were ever smart enough to set that up in the time it really mattered and scope around in Disk Management.
Remember to partition and install with Diskpart. This is the era of advanced format type disks.
That NT-2003 era of Windows didn't handle partition alignment correctly and I can't even post the related whitepaper because of all the Copilot garbage.
It was a primary note for SQL Server 2008 best practices and that's all I can remember about trying to find it. Microsoft once again ruining everything.

Ms config was missing in 2000, thank goodness there was a way to implement it, ME came with system restore which has been in windows as standard since XP, heck i still use it, ms is trying to hide it though.

Looks to me it doesnt understand drives that large.

Google didn't know this name. Please write it correctly.
I suspect it's a GA7VRXP. I had one several years ago until the drive controller on it died just after it went out of warranty.

Try simply booting using whatever Linux live cd / thumb drive and use cfdisk to create an MDR partition table and a single, reasonable-sized primary partition to start

Which DirectX version you use?

go to start, select Run and type dxdiag

under tab System you can find the directx version in the bottom
