Do I have a Pioneer BDR-207D in my PC. It is a couple years old but honestly hasn't seen a lot of use. I stuck in a blu-ray disc the other day and it wouldn't read it correctly. The drive sounds like it is working hard with lots of motor movement. CD audio and DVD movies play fine.
I just tried another disc and the same problem. So I tried a few more and also had the same issue. I put in a BD-R that I burnt with files on it and have no issues copying files from it to my PC. I also burnt a new disc without any problem and it reads fine in my HTPC with the same type of BDR-207D drive.
I updated the firmware and movies still won't play. I'm using Windows 10 and TotalMedia Theatre 6. I also tried a trial of PowerDVD with the same playback issues.
I just downloaded MakeMKV, which I've never used before, and I'm now ripping a movie that my system won't play. I'd ripping at 8.5M/s [2.0x] and I have no idea what the normal speed should be, but I assume that would be fine for playback.
Any ideas what might be wrong?
