Seems like Sony has given a few select PlayStation 3 to Magazines. The Playstation 3 Magazine was one of the lucky few to get one. They did not experience any problems at all with heat or crashing. Yeah, it looks nice IMHO, hope Sony solves all those overheating problems, wasn't planning to get one until the system is one year old at least anyway, far too many exciting things happening on the PC front right now.

One year from now all three consoles will have a solid lineup, and then it will be easier to choose on which one of them to invest your savings :)

The downside to owning your very first console of that stature...

You need HD, then your gaming system ends up costing you over $1000, assuming you don't have an HDTV already.

They spent all that time making THAT. It's just a PS2 with a better CPU and GPU. It looks pretty much the same. Nice to see they got rid of the "banana" controller.

Benchmark Scores I've fried plenty o' parts when not OCing. Need to start doing it again to avoid problems...
Of course PSM never had overheating problems... They are PLAY STATION Magazine... ;)

It's like Intel saying: Intel Magazine said that the Pentium 4 XE uses only 1W of power...

is that copied games i see on that table :roll: no but seriously it might look bad as it is in low light or that it is just the black one that looks like the old ps2 :D, silver might not be so bad or in higher lighting.

too bad consumers cant easily use it. Sony's more obsessed with DRM than M$ is. We got to the Xbox, the companies wont let that happen again.
