Hello,
I bought a RTX 4090 and it burnt the connector out melted it completely. I just replaced it via warranty and two months later it happened again. I bought a right angle adapter from cable mod thinking this would help. It burnt out. I just received my third 4090 and I am very hesitant to put it in my machine, because I’m afraid this is going to happen again. does anyone know how to prevent this from happening besides making sure it’s seated correctly? Also, is there any way to tell if I’ve gotten the updated model with shortened pins? Should I just get a 4080 and wait for the five series? Any guidance would be appreciated.
