Plugable today announced their new Thunderbolt 3 Docking Station and Dual-Display Adapter line - Plugable's most powerful products yet. Thunderbolt 3 seems to be sweeping the PC industry in 2016 - it costs less than Thunderbolt 2, doubles performance to 40Gb/s, integrates a USB 3.1 Gen2 (10Gb/s) controller, supports power delivery up to 100W, and brings both Thunderbolt and USB to the new reversible USB-C connector.

"Thunderbolt 3 on the USB-C connector is a game-changer," said Bernie Thompson, Plugable Technologies Founder. "Thunderbolt 3 is a well-standardized set of advanced features with required certification so computers, peripheral devices, and cables will just work."

Plugable's new Thunderbolt 3 Dock will eliminate the need to constantly plug and unplug multiple devices to your notebook or tablet. The dock's beautiful anodized aluminum enclosure and black bezel design can be positioned horizontally or vertically. Connect two uncompressed 4K 60Hz (4096 x 2160) displays, three USB 3.0 devices, Gigabit Ethernet, and Stereo audio in/out all while creating a more productive and clutter free workspace. The second Thunderbolt 3 port on the dock operates the same as a Thunderbolt 3 computer port by supporting Thunderbolt 3 (up to 5 daisy chained), USB 3.1 (10Gb/s), and DisplayPort devices.

"We're thrilled to see such strong PC adoption for Thunderbolt 3," said Jason Ziller, Intel's Director of Thunderbolt Marketing. "With unmatched transfer speeds, support for multiple 4K displays, notebook charging, and compatibility with existing I/O technologies, Thunderbolt 3 is setting a new bar for the industry."

Plugable's new Thunderbolt 3 to Dual-Display Adapters will ship in two versions. The DisplayPort model offers revolutionary video bandwidth and simplicity by supporting two uncompressed 4K 60Hz (4096 x 2160) monitors. That's nearly 16 million more pixels than an HDTV, from a single Thunderbolt 3 port. A second HDMI model offers support for two uncompressed 4K 30Hz (3840 x 2160) monitors.

The Thunderbolt 3 to Dual-Display Adapters are Thunderbolt 3 port powered, eliminating the need for AC adapters or Y-cables to clutter the desktop. Both adapters are 3D gaming-capable and offer a driverless alternative to Plugable's existing DisplayLink-based USB graphics adapters. The Thunderbolt 3 to Dual-Display Adapters are ideal for consumers, gamers, business professionals, and media creators who desire multiple displays with astonishing resolution, contrast, and color depth to see photos, videos, games, applications, and text with amazing detail.

Thunderbolt 3 brings Thunderbolt to USB-C at speeds up to 40 Gb/s, creating one compact port that does it all - delivering the fastest, most versatile connection to any dock, display, or data device. For the first time, one computer port connects to Thunderbolt devices, every display, and billions of USB devices. A single cable now provides four times the data and twice the video bandwidth of any other cable, while also supplying power.

Availability
Plugable's new Thunderbolt 3 Dock, Thunderbolt 3 to Dual-Display DisplayPort Adapter, and Thunderbolt 3 to Dual-Display HDMI Adapter will be available in Q1'16.
