So I recently upgraded to a 5700x3d and a 3080 10gb.

I was playing MH wilds for hours without issues yesterday.

Today hopped on for a quick hunt and after I loaded in PC BSoD with a DPC Watch Dog violation.

After I shut off pc it turns on and clicks off instantly.

I then turned off psu switch and unplugged it. Rest for a few mins.
Tried again and was able to get into windows. But when I stressed it with a game or occt. It shuts off leaving leds on and even power switch led on the case.

After cycling the psu power switch it just goes 1 tick and turns off leaving leds on.

I thought it was my processor but I put back the 1700x and same behavior.

If the psu is the culprit.

Which one would be good between the two (considering if I upgrade gpu and platform in the future?)

Or

Thanks

Nine years is a good life for a unit. Also don't know those links so they're staying blue. You can upload directly into your post or just say what they are.

HX is old. time to let it go. The links dont work. site wants me to log in to see stuff.

Otherwise an RMe or RMx would be a fine replacement.

My SF450 showed the same. I suspect some pads need to be replaced. makes the 5V line unstable (memory channel when populated) also overheats faster than the fanless function can kick in.

Whoops sorry about that. It is the seasonic focus gx 850 watt but 2 different variants.

Altho the listing was confusing I found the 2024 model which has atx 3.1 compatibility.

Apologies for the link I was panicking.

Is this a good pick?

The GX is a solid lineup, yeah. Should be fine for you to grab. Or, as @FreedomEclipse noted, Corsair RMe and RMx are also good options in the same class that are usually widely available.

I would look for the V3 (ATX 3.0) version instead instead of the V4.

The V3 has a better write up

::EDIT::

Also. If you want to know if you can trust hwbusters. The guy who did the review is the former PSU reviewer for TPU - Cmaris.

Thank you for your replies all of you. Will try to find the v3 version as suggested or another Corsair if I can't find the V3.

Pretty much what EVGA power supply I had in my GF PC did after 5 years, replaced the power supply and all the random hard "crashes" gone.
