Power Supplies' Working principle related!

Hello,
I wish to learn newer power supplies' working principle, other than https://www.techpowerup.com/articles//overclocking/psu/160/1 that was dated 04-04-2011.

In the PSU we have lets say:

1-) Two Infineon Toshiba K20J60U on first cooler block (Ex: Newer Toughpower XT 775)
2-) Two Infineon 21N65C3 on second cooler block (Ex: Newer Toughpower XT 775)
3-) Old models: five 40 to 60 Amper diodes & Newer models five IRFB3207 Power MOSFET on third cooler block (Ex: Old Thermaltake Toughpower 750 and Newer Toughpower XT 775)

My questions are:

- Are the chips on first cooler block "have to be lower or be the same" (Ex. 2 x 2 20N60C3 Old Thermaltake Toughpower 750) why is that? What is the duty of first cooler group of chips, relation with second group of chips?

-Are the first group of chips with second group of chips work like a "Darlington system" principle? Or parallel like only?

-On the third cooler block, diodes replaced with Power MOSFET's is this because of less heating, lowering part expenses, more power pass or any other reason?

You need to talk to the designers of the power supplies to (1) learn what they were thinking and (2) see the full schematic to learn how these devices fit in the circuits. Good luck with that.

As for why a particular device is used? Hopefully it is because it is the best device for the intended purpose. In reality, it is probably the cheapest.
