Hi..new here. I attempting to resurrect an old server containing Legend QDI Advance 10F motherboard. The power supply failed on it some many years ago and I just boxed it up and stuck it in the loft. I cannot for the life of me recall what power supply requirements are needed as the power supply was removed and subsequently lost/chucked.
There are bound to be other issues but initially, I need to know what power supply I need to get it going again.
I've seen this.. Aerocool Integrator 500W 80 Plus Bronze Power Supply Unit on Amazon but is it the correct one? If not what do I need?
I have 2 other defunct pc's but neither of the power supply leads would fit into the socket on the motherboard.
Grateful for any help.

What are the other PSU's you have?
You only need a 20 pin power connector, and modern power supply units have 24 pins made up of a 20 + 4

What do you mean the power supply leads would not fit? As Caring1 noted, you need a 20-pin connector. Look at those power supply connectors again. Are they 24-Pin? If so, examine carefully as many 24-pin connectors let you break off pins 21-24 so you end up with, as Caring1 noted, 1 x 20 pin and 1 x 4 pin. Then you just make sure the 4-pin is not touching anything.

As far as the amount of power you need, I would not worry about that. I suspect 250W is more than you need.

My greater concern would be compatibility due to non-compliance with industry standards. While these specs say the board "size" is standard ATX, if that board came out of a Dell or some other factory made computer, it may have other proprietary components on it. :( That was a pretty common practice back in the day.

Thanks for the quick response guys. Much appreciated.
I took both PSU's out of the old PC's and tried to insert each one into the white power slot on the Motherboard and tried both ways round. Neither would insert into the slot.
I thought it strange. I have attached a pic of the slot in my old server from my phone. Next post.

OK. Had to get them out of the PC's again. One Is from a Dell. Bestec ATX-300-12z. The other from an HP Delta Electronics DPS-350VB

OK tried it again. Neither fit. I have attached another photo in the next post from my phone of the PSU connector. The 5th pin in the bottom is missing in both.

Ah! I see. There are pins in the motherboard connection and there are pins in the PSU connection. So, back to my original question. What r PSU do I need?

As you guys have stated there are 24 pins on the PSU and only 20 on the motherboard connector.

So which of the 24 pins do I break off? Do I need to send a pic so you can advise?

Scroll down to the 20+4 power connector ... you can use a 20 x 24 adapter of PSU doesn't have 20+4

I would have provided region specific sources but you haven't as yet filled out your profile with your location
