Hi all,

I've built a new system with a MSI MPG A1000G ATX3.0 PCI5 PSU and I'm not sure on how to connect my GPU with limited ports. I'm not even sure if I've made a mistake buying this unit, but I will eventually upgrade to 40 series or just wait for 50 series much later on.

i7 13700K
Asus Z790-F Strix
EVGA FTW Ultra 3080Ti (450W)
MSI MPG A1000G ATX3.0 PCI5

There are 4 PCI-E Ports and a Single +12VHPWR port.
My motherboard needs 2 of those and my GPU needs 3.

How do I go about connecting this? Can I use the 12VHPWR cable that splits into 2 8Pin connectors at the other end?
Is this safe? And can I use my Lian Li Strimer cable?

I've attached the back of the PSU ports for reference.

yes, that's how you're supposed to do it.
