There are stable and stable. You could be prime unstable and realworld stable. That is never ending debate of does one system could be called stable beside not being prime stable. That is why people tend to say "X GHz overclock prime stable".
IMO every stock system should pass prime. IF overclocked and if you are stable at every day tasks don`t bother with prime showing errors.
Now I`m paying attention at the screens :D
I think you need more core voltage :D.

No :D. My point is that there are levels of stable. Prime stable is the the most stable you can get. And that stock rigs should be prime stable. But with overclocking you gain speed but lose stability but that does not must be the case if you dont mind sacrificing speed you could back down the OC by let say 100-200 MHz and than you would be prime stable. Than you can brag about it :D.

Just keep on bumping it up a little at a time until you pass prime or the heat frightens you.

uhhh... yeah they do... OC'd rigs that can't calculate prime numbers because their OC is too high don't work well with prime.

You're not stable. If you're "real world" surfing the internet stable then thats all fine and dandy, but its only a matter of time before you crash. And you will always have in the back of your mind that if you ever try to encode a movie, play a really cpu intensive game, or do anything serious on your rig, it is more likely to go down since the CPU gives error-prone calculations.

you need more juice. :toast:

Also lipack is real stability testing... prime is good, but even 8 hours of prime and - linpack can bring it down in 15 minutes. It all comes down to how hardcore you want your rig to be. If you want it to go:
"NNOOOO BIG NUMBERS EehhHEEH... I CANT TAKE IT BRAH :cry:... HeelLp HeelLLP"...:cry:

Then you don't have to stress test properly.
