Problem pushing 200 fps

Hey guys, thank you in advance for any help or advice. This is just a preface to my situation. I just finished my first build, absolutely love it.

My build :
i9 9900kf
Asus rog 2070super 8gb
Corsair h100i
32gb Corsair vengeance, 3200 ddr4
Asus rog z390e

For the most part I get really good performance out of this system.. however I feel that my card performance and frame rate is lacking. Specifically with Warzone: I get around 140 fps @ 1080p resolution with mixed settings between high and low, normal etc. Even with rdr2 im only netting around 70 fps mixed on high, some ultra, some mid to low.

When I cinibench and check fps I only get around 140. Is there something I'm missing can anybody help me who has a similar set up?

Again thank you in advance if you respond to my plea for help!

Unless you are on a 240hz monitor, 200FPS is doing nothing for you.

The only game in recent times to benefit from absurdly high FPS is CSGO inherently due to the mouse input delay being directly tied to the frame rate.

RDR 2 is super, super, demanding. On max settings my laptop gets like 32 fps on max settings (it has a 1660 TI). A desktop 2070 gets like 51 fps while a 2070 Super gets 54 fps.

That all sounds about right.... 2070 super is a nice card but in most AAA games you're going to be around 120 fps and sometimes with games like RDR2 much lower.

Esports type games with lowish setting you'll be at 200+ for sure.

If you look at the latest GPU review the 2070 super averages about 140 fps at 1080p even turning settings down you're not likely to get an extra 60fps in the majority of those games. Maybe if you drop everything to low minus the texture settings.

Yea on Valorant I was getting 200 plus fps. I'm just surprised I can't get at least a consistent 140 on warzone I suppose. I might as well have just bitbthe bullet and got the 2080ti lol

Yeah with a 2080 ti you'd probably hit near that.... but at more than double the cost

@DoCHolLiDaY first nice to see a new member of TPU actually listning their specs in their first post, but you forgot to list the maker and model of your screen to make it easier please fill out System Specs it's really easy when you know all your components in your system.

If you don't there are several applications that can help like speecy or AiDA64 if you are more hardcore or just memorize all your components like me more or less.

it depends on which are ultra and which are lower.
you can ruin performance with a few settings in this game

Yes. It isn't a GPU benchmark at all, you'd get identical results with a 2080 TI or a Intel iGPU.

Yea I don't have a gpu benchmark tool yet. Cinebench 15 has a gpu tester though.. that's what I used. I figured it was decent enough of a starter bench mark

2070s 140fps is about right.

You'll need a 2080/s/ti to get 200+, or wait for Ampere.

I have 240hz and it's great, but don't expect to get that FPS from a 2070.

A 2080Ti does not get 40% -50% more FPS than a 2070 , warzone won't do 240Fps on any GPU out, I doubt a Titan would do it.
I doubt any next generation GPU will, the game looks to be CPU limited to a max of about 150.

There are 2080Ti owners here please feel free to prove me wrong.

Perfect, I can't see anyone getting that 240fps stable any time soon.

Though perhaps the next generation will, maybe subsystem limited.

I would be happy with your results though, I struggle getting over 100fps stable on an Rtx2060.

Oh I can get upto 144 but stable, nope.

maybe if you get really lucky with a 10th gen chip that overclocks to at least 5.3ghz all core and some really fast ram 4000+ with a heavy OC on the gpu.

My ram on this system is pretty shit 3600 CL18

I think The OP just wants to be closer to 200fps I think a 2080 ti would get him a lot closer than his 2070 super but at a massive cost.

I'm fine with 140 I was just curious if I could do anything to boost those frames without having to upgrade to a 2080ti. Didn't know if I was missing something

Na 140 sounds about right honestly.... I only ran around at 1080p with medium/high settings out of curiosity with my system.

I normally max settings at 1440p and get around 144fps with a pretty high overclock on my 2080 ti in call of duty.... I prefer to maximize image quality over fps normally.

Overclock your vram, download msi afterburner, configure it for your card like the image below (my 1070's are asus like yours) leave core clock as idk what 20xx cards can do gpu clock-wise but go ahead and crank the memory clock slider to 1000mhz, this will improve your cards performance (most people are able to do this with 2070 and higher cards).
