I installed GeForce Game Ready driver 572.16.
After that, the DisplayPort video output became unstable, causing symptoms such as the monitor image becoming distorted or not showing at all.
I tried reinstalling driver 572.16, but it had no effect.

The symptoms disappeared after installing the previous driver 566.36.

While using version 572.16, the monitor display problem occurred on both of the two monitors.
When I touched the DisplayPort connector on the monitor side while the image was being displayed normally, the image became distorted.
Also, when I connected and disconnected the DisplayPort connector, the image no longer appeared.

After reverting to version 566.36, the video is normal when I touch the DisplayPort connector.
Even if you connect and disconnect the DisplayPort connector, the monitor image will display normally.

Based on the above symptoms, there may be a problem with the DisplayPort output settings with driver 572.16.
Is there anyone else experiencing similar symptoms?
Also, are there any other possible causes of the problem besides the driver?

I'm using a GTX 1080 Ti.
ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1080 TI Blower [ZT-P10810B-10B]
I have dual 1080p monitors, and the two monitors were purchased on different dates and are different products.
This setup has been working fine for almost 4 years.

Nvidia is probably trying to kill those GPUs, I have no idea what else could be causing this problem or if there is even a solution. If I were you I'd pray that the next game-ready drivers fix this problem.

Just stay on the old driver?

Is there a specific reason you're updating to a newer driver? There are 0 game specific updates for your 1080Ti at this point.

NV might have had to monkey with something in newer drivers for multi-frame generation or feature support or something else and it doesn't play nice with your older card and they likely never tested it despite saying your card is "supported".
