Hello everyone. I received a rx 5600 xt windforce oc rev 1 as a gift from my uncle. I think this card has an untested bios. In fact, when I go to check the bios with the amdflashwin utility, the bios version shows this version "GV-R56XTWF2OC-6GD/F3/0A03".
Typing it on google takes me back to an unverified version of the bios on the techpower site. The PC where it is currently mounted has at least one crash per day (black screen and PC restart).
Using the GPU_Z software I also noticed that the GPU clock also reaches 1750MhZ under certain conditions, while the maximum boost of the card should be at 1640MhZ. From the adrenaline software the P3 was 1800 MhZ.
Could it be the unverified bios causing the crashes? could I solve it by installing a verified version of the bios?
My uncle doesn't remember which bios he installed unfortunately, he's not sure he downloaded it from the official Gigabyte site.
Thanks in advance for your answers

Your uncle had no business flashing a working gpu, if it aint broke don't screw with it.

You will need to get pics of the White Stickers from the back of the card and also remove the heatsink to get pics of a ram chip on the card. Post pics here.

After I lowered the P3 level, it's been 2 days since I've had any crashes. I'd rather avoid taking anything apart to avoid doing damage.
Can I continue like this or do you still suggest I disassemble it to see the code under the heatsink?
Is it dangerous to continue with that bios?

Could you tell the other specs of that PC which has problems? Maybe it's not the GPU.

Wrong bios will cause undesired performance

It has Asus Style Ram slots on it too.

Pull the power cord

Reseat the Ram by removing and inserting the bottom of the dimm first and then insert the top, reseat your gpu as well

When you reinsert a component into your motherboard, it won't do anything to you motherboard BIOS or videocard BIOS.
But it can assure a good contact for those components.
What PSU you use ? (power supply unit)

Hello there.
If your PSU is functioning properly, then it is enough for your system.
From TPU database, at RX5600xt specifications is stated : "Being a dual-slot card, the AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT draws power from 1x 8-pin power connector, with power draw rated at 150 W maximum"
So we cleared out the chance that your PSU could be the problem. (as i said earlier if it is functioning properly)

Typing it on google takes me back to an unverified version of the bios on the techpower site.
Yes, it is possible that some files are not verified by any admin (yet).
That doesn't mean that the file itself isn't legit.
That means ONLY that the file was not reviewed by any admin until the moment you checked it.

As for the crash, that computer restart could be caused by a number of factors.
One of them could be the thermal throttle of the GPU or CPU.
Even some electronic problems with your motherboard could lead to that (dried capacitors)
So the first logical thing is to take out the card from that computer and move it in another system and test it there for at least 24h.
After that inform us how it went.

Only 1 crash in 3 days, can't complain. I followed your advice regarding ram and power cable. However I intend to disassemble it and send the photos you requested. The white stickers on the backplate have unfortunately been removed.
