Quadro K4000 in SLI

I've seen conflicting answers regarding this card and Nividia themselves couldn't confirm this 100%.

Will two identical Quadro K4000 work in SLI?

According to http://www.nvidia.com/object/quadro-desktop-gpus-specs.html it doesn't support SLI. However, it does have a single SLI connector, so it is not clear whether it really does. I would also be interested to hear from someone who has experience

In this thread the K4000 is listed as supported for SLI with different cards so i presumed it would work too with two identical cards.

I've seen other forums where people said they got the Quadro 4000 working in SLI and other saying it doesnt support SLI and seems like the 4000 is similar to the k4000.

plus it is not clear why the card has an SLI connector but does not support SLI officially.

After a little more research, I came across http://www.nvidia.co.uk/docs/IO/140231/quadro-sdi-user-guide.pdf , in which it shows the SLI connector is used to connect to a Quadro SDI card. That is the only evidence I can find of it being used.
