The ASUS ROG Strix Arion is most likely one of the coolest NVMe enclosures out there to date with its ASUS AURA-capable ARGB lighting. Its rugged housing also acts as a heatsink, and there is a unique tool-less assembly method and good set of extras.

Benchmark Scores bench...mark? i do leave mark on bench sometime, to remember which one is the most comfortable. :o
wow ... a bit late, no?
i have the exact same enclosure with a Crucial P1 since ... hummm ...the 6 august 2020

well i can concur on the fact that it is one of the coolest NVMe enclosure and i can also attest of the performance and ease of installation without any doubt ...

i should test it with one of the Gammix S11 Pro instead of the P1, although no ... on a second thought it should only give 100ish more on W/R
IMG_20200806_104734.jpg1596708391142.png

for once price paid was in line with the price in the review (more or less ) at 59 chf
as for the 10Gbps instead of 20, well it's more than enough for a nomad gaming drive (in essence the Crucial P1 was not a bad choice) in term of cooling (38c max for both) and portability it's on par with my Adata SE770G with the advantage on upgradeability going to the Arion

only grief, Aura only (well the SE770G is not even addressable nonetheless)

I have owned one for a few months now with my OCZ RevoDrive RD400 in it. Makes a wonder little external storage device.

It strikes me as more bulky than really necessary.
actually it is not that bulky, even with the holder and hook, at last slimer than most other enclosure i saw (and some with fans that were not cooling much more than it is )

@bonehead123 well ... compared to some other enclosure, it was 11chf more (aka not much) did keep the SSD in the 30c range and did not had a fan, models with fans are just as expensive as the Arion. (also did the preview mention it was not a "external drive case" )

imho it's priced just right, for example the Adata SE770G 1tb was 129chf full price, the Arion+P1 1tb was 109chf

a rather flashy enclosure but I wish they use the more faster 20Gbps link speed since the enclosure is basically a massive heatsink.

For similar Price I got 20Gbps made by Orico with Fan.
Now I want to try the one without fan since its fully made from aluminum and much thinner, the one with a fan has internal heatsink and the top side is plastic cover
Or maybe got for USB 4.0/Thunderbolt 40GBps model, if its backwards compatible to 20Gbps mode
