I have OCZ Platinum 4gb dual channel kit 1066mhz. However it only reads as 775. My board supports ddr2 1066. The timings are correct for the ram as well.

Here are some more

Picture of what Everest reads

only 775?

If I increase my DRAM frequency in the Bios would that make it higher?

Are you running mixed kits? Your Max Bandwidth should read PC2-8500 not 6400

Your board is capable, your CPU is not. AMD has the memory controller on the CPU, the older K8 CPUs only support ram frequencies up to DDR2-800.

You have to overclock the HTT(FSB) to increase the ram speed.
Set your ram divider to DDR2-800
Set the CPU frequency (I think that's what they call it on this board) to 267
CPU multiplier to 10
Set your timings/voltage for the ram

You may need to increase the CPU voltage to keep things stable.

Don't tell Ryder :wtf:

simply: yes

your ram is rated for 1066 at 5-5-5-15 so it should normally run that.

As was said you will have to raise the speed of the ram by either OCing or changing the memory ratio or multiplier in the bios.

Most AM+ motherboards generally state 1066 ram will only work with k10 onwards cpus. I have a phenom 8750 and AM2+ MB, when using software like cpu_z it only shows upto 800mhz speeds but its 1066 ram, i have to manually increase the multiplier and voltage for it to run at that.

lol i had a k8 and ran up to ddr 1150 with my ddr-800 ballistix... but it only did in an am2+ board. my previous am2 board couldnt clock past 1066, with exactly the same sticks.

I had this scenario last month before I changed my 5200+ to a 7750+, my memory is stuck on 800 MHZ, but after I installed the new CPU, my HT link rises from 1000 MHZ to 1800 MHZ
then in the BIOS it unlocked the 533 MHZ setting:rockout: change your CPU to an AM2+ or AM3:)
