We are pleased to announce that Atomfall will launch on March 27, 2025 and is now available to pre-order. Atomfall is coming day one to Game Pass and will be available both digitally and in a boxed physical edition, [published by Fireshine Games] on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Windows PC and PC via Steam, Rebellion Shop and Epic Games Store. Atomfall will also release on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.

Atomfall's Deluxe Edition will also be available, and in addition to the Basic Supply Bundle DLC, the Deluxe Edition will also give players an Enhanced Supply Bundle, which includes an exclusive pistol variant, metal detector skin and character upgrades. Alongside this, players will also enjoy 3 days early access to Atomfall and the planned Story Expansion DLC when released. Also available for PC Players, exclusive to the Rebellion Shop, is the Quarantine Edition which includes all rewards within the Deluxe Edition, as well as a host of additional content.

Set in the aftermath of a nuclear disaster, Atomfall tasks players with solving the mystery of what happened at the Windscale nuclear power station. To solve this, you will need to navigate military encampments, delve through abandoned bunkers below ground, and risk your life in Pagan ruins. Central to the dark mystery are the host of eccentric characters and cryptic organisations that inhabit the quarantine zone. These individuals have been cut off from the outside world for years and left to their own devices, so are anything but normal. But be careful, they aren't all friendly and you will need to get to grips with an array of ranged and melee weapons if you are to survive!

The Game Features:
  • A single player survival-action game, drawing from science fiction, folk horror, and Cold War influences to create a world that is eerily familiar yet completely alien
  • Explore a dark and foreboding world with varying environments and locations
  • Uncover leads through investigation, exploration, conversation and combat as you attempt to solve a mystery inspired by classic British science fiction such as The Day of the Triffids, early Doctor Who, and The Quatermass Experiment
  • Desperate high stakes combat blends expert marksmanship with vicious hand-to-hand combat
  • Craft items and weapons that may save your life, ransack ruined houses for supplies, and even unearth hidden treasures using your trusty metal detector
  • Define your character through interactions with NPCs, light RPG elements, and skill trees

Gamers who pre-order Atomfall Standard Edition receive the Basic Supply Bundle DLC which offers additional items and supplies to uncover as you explore, including an exclusive melee weapon variant, additional loot caches and an item recipe.

Rebellion has always made really good looking tech demos. Their actual gameplay always seems to leave something to be desired.

I'm playing through the 2011 AvP game, and while the game still looks pretty good, the actual narrative and gameplay is so thin it legitimately has that "this was supposed to be a DX11 showcase but we pumped enough air into it to be a game" feel.
