Hello everyone! Recommend a good headset for gaming.
I often play with friends and listen to music.

Budget up to $500-600.

Connects to the Realtek ALC1220 chip built into the motherboard.

I am currently using the Razer BlackShark V2 X USB. But, with prolonged use, there may be discomfort, since my head is not small.

I would be grateful for advice! Have a great day everyone!

The small head addition made me laugh! I get the need for comfort/budget balance. I've been using the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless and it's working just fine for me. It's even way under your budget (I just checked), so I'm sure others will chip in with more high-end suggestions.

If you're plugging them into your onboard audio, then there's no point in spending $500 on the headsets. Hell, it's probably not worth spending $200...

Если вы подключаете их к встроенному аудио, то нет смысла тратить 500 долларов на гарнитуру. Черт, да, наверное, не стоит тратить 200 долларов...
The goal is to be able to buy something excellent in its class. If something great costs 200 dollars, then we’ll buy it for 200) and if we need more, then we’ll spend more. There is simply no desire to buy and be upset.

Since you also hear music, you could check Technics or Yamaha. Newer models work wired or wireless and have a built-in microphone. I don't play games, my (very) old Technics is only for music, BUT my sons prefer my headset and a cheapo standing microphone from the covid days. And I have to mention that the younger has the same Razer headset with yours, the older something better. At least my daughter is fine (for now) with her earbuds...
The only positive is that some Technics headsets can be found for less than 200€:banghead:.

Could be true, could also not be true. It depends on the OEM and hardware used, ALC1220 is used even by Creative (Creative Sound Blaster Audigy FX V2, for example).
The OEM can use whatever DAC and parts at the end of the day, same as my S1220A, its DAC and parts are called 'Crystal Sound 3'.

Personally I don't use analogue out. I would guess the OP is looking more for 'spatial' headphones (games)?

If I were to buy a headset, I'd probably buy the Drop PC37x or PC38x because they are very decent headsets that are well-reviewed and provide a great overall experience for only about $120 US. I don't think you need to spend $500 to get good sound. Either those or the Beyerdynamic MMX 300s for $220 US.

Buy a Sony MDR-CD900ST from Japan and spend the rest on a USB DAC+amp combo device. Or an Audio-Technica M60X

Guys, thank you all! I will definitely look through everything! I really don't have a goal to spend "a lot of money", I just don't want to buy something and regret it. If anyone has any other options, be sure to send them!

Glad to hear that you like them! I love my DT 770s so I know that Beyerdynamic makes quality stuff. They've been in business since 1924 and they still make all their stuff in Germany!

I have the semi-open version, love them too. But they're not directly comparable to a wireless, cans+mic design.
