remove hum from active subwoofer?

when nothing is playing theres a hum. I usually ignore or dont notice it. but its something id like to lower it a bit. possible?

disconnected from avr, still hum, put it on same electrical line as the other components, hum.

Iunno, you asked and I answered.

Usually when my speakers are too high I'll get that humming. I'm assuming it's interference or something related to power draw. I'm sure some audiophile will chime in.

no, I was joking. im always rough around the edges. thats my sarcastic humor. pay no mind to it.

guy says maybe avr, so disconnected, still hum. says use same power line as other components, so did that. hum. usually i have some audio movies or whatever playing, but usually when pc is off and nothing playing ill notice it.

maybe theres some power filter I can use for the interference as you noted.

The humming could be because the lack of grounding on the circuit thats handling the electricity or connections inside.

Is your sub a cheap sub or a brand of rather questionable quality?

I dont know if its good or not but I think its an old one. dont know the brand dome. maybe theres something I can plug inline? 230v 50hz

the hum is not so bad .even after all audio is stopped, it takes a bit to hear it again.
