Hi everyone this is my first time here so please bear with for a while.

I had a 10 years old Dell inspiron 14r n4110 that had a dead battery and dead screen but bad specs so I made some upgrades like te ram from 4 GB ddr3 to 16 GB DDR3L and cpu from i3 2310m to Core i7-2960XM I had because I want to use it for home network storage and some retro gaming but the problem is that the laptop when powered on it beeps exactly 8 times and apparently it means a lcd test error.
is there any way to bypass this test?
BTW: the VGA port is broken so I disconnected the cable from the and
board
Sorry for my bad English

I did but the screen isn't recognized and appears black and beeping sound is still there but when I remove the cmos battery and press fn and F1 on laptop keyboard it changes to the external monitor for few moments and show me cmos battery error and the moment I bypass by pressing F1 or F3 it goes back to beeping and lose the connection with the monitor

BTW
Thanks for replying

I dont know what to tell you honestly. Maybe something on the MB is bad and the signal isnt being sent through to the screen. You could pick up a cheap USB to HDMi dongle and see if that works but if it doesnt, there isnt a whole lot you can do apart from looking for old inspiron 14r's on ebay to fix your current one if you cant find someone who specialises in board repairs - which isnt going to be worth the price either way.

You are better off buying another one and changing the CPU and RAM from this one.
