Roccat's Kone Pure Owl-Eye can be considered a revamped Kone Optical or Military, using an updated PixArt 3361 sensor and more compact dimensions. This $70 mouse is also lighter and delivers outstanding precision and tracking performance. The mouse wheel is probably the best we ever used, both for scrolling and clicking.

Great as usual.

Your opening paragraph might want adjusting though currently mentions the EMP and XTD not the Pure.
The newest in its lineup of mice is the Kone EMP, an updated version of the Kone XTD.

Wow Ino is a TPU reviewer!
Would you please liberate Guru3D too? haha

On the subject, it's probably my next mouse as I dislike G403 bumpy butt.

Till I reached that "too tough to use braided cable" I was having a bit of regret that I bought Logitech G Pro, but after that nope. :D

No, they are very similar in size. Just the Roccat feels much more like quality.
Nice. I want to get one at some point. Side buttons on ec2 are horrid. I also find the index finger groove slightly off for me, like its not high enough.

another kone pure successor,

to this day, im still using the original kone pure (laser) from 2013, this is my 4th year using kone pure, the "titan" wheel still feels good (same), the sensor is not that accurate any more in high dpi (2k+) but in lower dpi its still good (600-1200), its the most comfortable mouse that ive tried (im asian so my hand is not that big :)), the only thing that degrades is the skin (?) of the mouse (at some location on the mouse i could see the color of the original plastic)

i would buy this successor if my mouse died but it seems not in the near future

sorry for the english :)

87 grams, such a superb weight. Although I've got used to 100-120 gram mice like the DeathAdder or the G502.
Kone Pure series always bring a special and unique feeling about, and yet somehow I'm not convinced enough to get one. :p
