Good day,

My board's one pin broke out, see attached photo with blue arrow. It shows which pin is gone. It is the top part, bottom row first pin from the left.

Bottomline, what do you guys think? May it work correctly? Worth taking the chance?

I'm awaiting a 7950X3D and hell scared of even testing with this CPU as it may get damaged?

Not sure according to the chip charts what the function of this pin was.

Have a good day.

I know there is another pin not in its place, busy with re-alignment, will get to it.

A long story why this board's pins got damaged, a lot of sorrow and clenching of teeth...

No, get it fixed, every pin has a purpose, not worth risk

Maybe, maybe not.

Yes, it is worth it.

It is highly unlikely it will damage the CPU (or anything else) AS LONG AS the broken pin is not laying/bent over and making contact with another pin or anything else.

What is most likely is it will either work, or not work. If W1zzard is correct, and odds are he is, then as he noted there are many other pins providing the necessary ground.

Thank you Bill. Yes, I took the pin out (used a little prestik at the end of needle to lift it out gently).

Ah! Otherwise known as Blu Tack around here. Yeah, that's fine as long as no residue was left behind. And my experience with Blu Tack is it comes off cleanly.
