Hello everyone.

I'm going to test the 5070ti for a while. I heard that there are stability issues with the latest drivers.

Which driver do you recommend to avoid problems? I'm using W11 pro.

None of the Release 570 drivers are really in good shape, but you should be using the latest one (572.83). 566.36 doesn't work with Blackwell.

I am currently using RTX 4070TI SUPER. My latest driver is from December. But today I will install RTX 5070TI to my computer. Which driver should I download? I am confused. Everyone says some drivers are buggy.

Surely you realize this is nGreediya we're talking about, right ?

Stable & nG do NOT belong in the same sentence, especially for new cards, as it usually takes them 6 months to a year to get close to that :(

Perhaps you might get lucky with the very latest ones, but as always, YMMV :D

As with all things new (hardware and/or software), I strongly suggest you make a complete back up of your entire system (OS, apps, & everything else) before installing the new card or it's drivers, that way if it borks out on you, you can just reload your previous system from the back up & then wait for nG to get their collective shiite together....

Use the 572.83 driver I mentioned earlier. My RTX 5090 hasn't arrived yet (and probably won't for another few weeks), so I don't really have first-hand experience with RTX 50 series yet, but right now, you don't have much of a choice because the previous driver branch does not support the new hardware. For 40 series and earlier, if stability is paramount, stick to 566.36 until the "Release 570" branch matures a little more. The known issues list for this version was pretty much empty by the time they moved onto this new branch, it is very stable.

There have been major changes to the code base recently, not only to support the RTX 50 series but also many small refinements that Nvidia backported to earlier generation cards, for example, video decoding was completely overhauled and that reduced the power consumption by quite a bit vs. the previous driver branch (especially if RTX video super resolution is enabled), and it's still afflicted by newness.

That being said, 572.83 driver has behaved well with my RTX A2000 (a pro card similar to GeForce RTX 3060), whereas I was getting some TDRs with the 572.12 driver.

Yeah, right. Because Radeon's been always been a paragon of stability over the years, and there are absolutely no issues with RDNA 4 right now either. Dude, just... don't troll threads if you don't have anything constructive to say.

Frankly, I don't want to deal with errors. So which of these two drivers is better?

Some users have opened topics about having black screen problems. I've read things like some downgraded the pcie interface from gen5 to gen4 and the problem was solved that way.

I'll uninstall the old driver with DDU and install one of the two versions you suggested (572.83 or 566.36).

Thank you very much. I downloaded these versions. I will test the 5070ti next week. I hope I don't encounter any ridiculous problems.

By the way, should I set the PCIe interface to gen4? Or should it remain as gen5 by default?

Because some users shared that they downgraded to gen4 because of errors.

No. The GPU should work at Gen 5. Reducing speed to Gen 4 is only necessary if your riser cable can't handle Gen 5 speeds, otherwise it should be left at automatic in BIOS.
