Assuming you play at 1080p:

Also depends on the games you are playing.

Keep in mind drivers have changed original performance in some games a lot. So make sure your sources are recent.

No idea I’m on my phone nor have I ever heard of or trust something called “how many fps”.com just look at the recent driver version for arc and find benchmarks using that version or something close.

I’ve been looking at videos and what day should the videos have been posted to get a clear picture of the performance

The safe bet is the 6600. But look at what games you play, Intel might be fine in those. I sold my RX570 that i used as a backup card and i'm looking at A380 or a A750. Have not made my mind up which one i should get.

Even with the newer drivers somtimes even the A770 is slower than the 6600. I think the 6600 is going to be the better overall choice it also uses less power and is cheaper.

As you can see with the most recent drivers even the A770 overall is only slightly faster than the 6600. Performance is all over the place though sometimes it's decently faster other times it's slower.

How much more is the 6600XT/6650XT?

Even though I have an A750 and like it, I'd recommend going with the 6600 (and really a 6600/50XT) anyway. Performance in newer games is fine, and even Hogwarts at 1440p/High with XeSS is totally playable at essentially a locked 60fps. Looks better than FSR too.

Drivers are still not ready for prime time yet. Something as simple as having to approve UAC on login every time for the Graphics Control Center to load is a pretty poor showing. I've had random indie games just fail to run. It's a good first effort, but as your only GPU it's going to cause some frustrations.

Yeah, it's good for someone who likes to tinker with new hardware otherwise an AMD gpu is likely the better option.... I would say Nvidia but they don't think people who spend less than $280 count as gamers....

I'm not high on either but if 250 usd was my absolute limit I'd probably go with the RX 6600.

The intel GPU is only worth it if you don't mind some games not working or performing lower than expected the RX 6600 will be more consistent. That being said intel has impressed me with their commitment to improving drivers so who knows where the a750 might be a couple months from now at the same time are you willing to bet 250 usd on it improving.

User account control? Should be able to disable that.

It's still listed as a known issue, but I should probably look into if that can be done on a per-app basis (can't remember if that was a thing).

That is so weird. So turning it off and setting admin permissions to the app doesn't fix? There goes my dreams of having an Arc til they fix it

Doesn't appear to work. I just did some searching and it appears for now the best option is to not have it auto-start at login. It'll still require a UAC response to open in manually, but at least it's not as soon as you login.

I'm not sure how Intel hasn't figured this out by now. Their other GPU control apps for IGPs seem to work just fine.

this sums up well how things are at the immediate moment in my opinion.

@Codhasabunchofkids unless you want to tinker and have the $$$ to do so, get the 6600, enjoy it, and consider Intel’s GPUs again in however many years whenever you’re again ready to upgrade.

Me? I'd buy the A750, I love to tinker, can roll with the punches, and I think the A750 may have a higher ceiling that has not yet been found, through optimisation.

For most people? get the RX 6600, it'll just work.
